We begin with what makes a story belong somewhere. Then we find the form it deserves.
01 Find the origin +
A landscape. A material. A memory. We look for a meaningful starting point, with enough depth to shape more than a surface.
02 Define the language +
Translate that origin into proportion, colour and pattern. Every element should feel related, without repeating the same gesture everywhere.
03 Resolve the detail +
Work with collaborators and production partners to carry the design intention into materials, finishes and the details people actually touch.
04 Reveal the story +
Bring the completed edition into the world with the photography, setting and narrative that make its origin understood.

FWZ Designs is an independent design house founded by Fawaz M. Khalid, with a presence in Abu Dhabi and Miami.
The mangrove offers a shared point of reference: rooted in its surroundings, shaped by the tide, connecting land and water. It informs how we think about identity—not as decoration, but as a relationship with place.
The Ghaf Edition is our first automotive expression. Its story belongs to the desert. The wider house remains open to new landscapes, new collaborations and new forms.

Fawaz M. Khalid is the founder and creative director of FWZ Designs. His practice connects contemporary design with Emirati cultural references, spanning automotive editions, objects and visual identity.
His approach begins with the story behind a project: the landscape, memory or material that gives it meaning. He translates that starting point into form, proportion and detail, guiding the creative direction from concept to presentation.
Through FWZ, he brings this perspective to limited editions and collaborations—work with a distinct sense of origin and an international outlook.
